THE PUNJAB INSTITUTE OF COOPERATIVE TRAINING
WORKING AND PROGRAMMES
- The Punjab Institute of Cooperative Training (PICT) is a State Level Institute established to cater to the training requirements of the Apex and other Cooperative institutions in the State of Punjab and is playing a key role in Human Resource Development of these institutions.
- The main object of the PICT is to conduct training programmes for the officers/officials of the Coop. Department/Apex Institutions and Central societies and to bring total professionalism in the managerial system.
- The institute gets demand from all apex Coop. institutions and by consultation and discussion with them a Course Calendar of training for the year is prepared which is passed by the Governing Board of PICT.
- The programmes have been scheduled strictly as per the suitability and convenience of member institutions as well as other target groups to use their lean periods and spare time for training.
- It caters to the contingent training needs of its affiliated units and conducts need based programmes/seminars/workshops.
- To make the learning more effective, Institute makes extensive use of modern teaching aids and equipments such as Overhead Projector, Multi Media Projector etc. The Faculty Members also prepare reading material which is supplied to the participants.
- Seminars/Worshops on Women Empowerment were held regularly. Officers on the Elimination of Rural Poverty through Organisation of Women SHG’s.
- Reimbursement of costs of training programmes for Women Empowerment in the field for which funds are given by PICT.
