ORGANISATION

a) Governing Board:- The Governing Board of the Institute comprises of the Managing Directors of all Coop. Apex member institutions such as PSCB, SADB, Markfed, Milkfed, Sugarfed, Housefed, Puncofed, Labourfed and Weavco (now merged in Markfed).   


b) Chairman:- It is a great honor for PICT that Head of Cooperatives i.e. worthy RCS(Pb.) is the Head/Chairman of Governing Board of PICT.


c) Managing Director:- PICT has a Managing Director who has powers and duties to run the affairs of the PICT in accordance with the policies and programmes framed by the Governing Board.


d) Principal, Estt. Officer and Faculty: - The Principal and Establishment Officer are drawn on deputation either from Coop. Department or from Coop. Institutions. PICT has two full time faculty members from outsource and the other eminent Guest Faculties from reputed academic
institutions are invited to deliver ‘Talks & Lectures’ on different topics designed in various training programmes.


e ) Other Staff :-The PICT has its 6 own regular staff and two outsourced staff.


LIBRARY : The Institute has a rich library having books on subjects relating to Cooperatives, Banking, Commerce, Economics, Law, Accountancy and Management etc. It also purchases magazines, journals and daily newspapers for the trainers and the trainees. PICT is prompt
enough to update the library as per requirements of cooperative officials and Trainees for their usage and knowledge enhancement. A section of library books are available for trainees in PICT hostel also.


COMPUTER LAB : PICT has setup its own Computer Lab consisting of 17 computers with all modern facilities to impart training to all participants of Coop. Department, Apex Cooperative Institutions and Central & Primary Cooperative Societies .The lab also facilitate the computerization of PACS and other typing test etc..


BUDGET : In India, PICT is the only State Level Cooperative Training Institute which is entirely financed by its beneficiaries which are all Apex institutions and has been functioning without any aid, grant or subsidy from the State/Central Govt. The budget of the PICT is passed once in a
year by the Governing Board, Later on it is reviewed in quarterly meetings of Governing Board. Worthy RCS is empowered to earmark the contribution of various institutions. Now PICT has also been allowed to conduct paid training courses for certain organizations.


This will enable PICT to hold need based training programmes for other Govt/Semi Govt. institutions alongwith govt. sponsored programmes and other programmes for target group like elected directors and women etc. for strengthening cooperative movement in state.
