At present there are 19Distt.Cooperative Labour & Construction Unions (in the State) members of this Federation. The main object of this Federation is to get concessions for the primary Cooperative Labour & Construction Societies such as allotment of works on preferential basis. To seek loans for Labour & Construction Societies from the concerned Central Coop. Banks. The Federation also serve the Labour Coops if any dispute arises between societies and Work-Awarding-Agencies regarding their payments. The Federation make correspondence with P.W.D. at their own level for the settlement of claims. If any Central Cooperative Bank in the State does not advance loans to Labour Cooperative Societies as per the RCS, Pb. Instructions, the Labour Cooperative Societies is given necessary help for seeking loans.
If any branch of the P.W.D. deviate the Punjab Govt. instructions the same department also stressed upon to implement the Govt. Notification. For this purpose the Labourfed has employed One Manger and One Clerk.
