THE PUNJAB INSTITUTE OF COOPERATIVE TRAINING
ABOUT US :-
In the year 1969, the Institute was set up as Punjab Cooperative Bankers Training Institute by The Punjab State Coop. Bank Ltd., Chandigarh with the aim to provide training to the employees of State/Central Cooperative Banks. In 1970, The Punjab State Coop. Agri. Dev. Bank and The Punjab State Coop. Supply & Marketing Federation Ltd; (Markfed) also became the member of this Institute and a new name i.e. The Punjab Institute of Cooperative Training was given and more Coop. Apex institutions also became its members. Later on, it was registered as a Cooperative society under The Punjab State Coop. Societies Act, 1961 as & The Punjab Institute of Cooperative Training Ltd., Mohali at Chandigarh on 15.4.1999.
(PICT) is a State Level Institute established to cater to the training requirements of the Apex and other Cooperative institutions in the State of Punjab and is playing a key role in Human Resource Development of these institutions. The main objective of the PICT is to conduct training programmers for the officers/officials of the Coop. Department, Apex Cooperative Institutions and Central & Primary Cooperative Societies to bring total professionalism in Cooperatives and to enhance Cooperative Movement. The Institute is Accredited by C-PEC NABARD. Now, the Re-accreditation has been granted for 3 years from 1.10.2022 to 30.09.2025.
